THE HELPING HAND THAT’S ALWAYS THERE

Poet Emily Dickenson described hope
“as a thing with feathers”— a tiny yet mighty bird that survives the worst storms and asks nothing of us. Chinese writer Lin Yutang said hope is
“like a road in the country that wasn’t ever a road, but when many people walk on it the road comes into existence.” For me, hope is holding tight to the hand of God. That hand is always stretched out to us. Whether we take it or not — it is there. To let go is to walk alone in the cold shadows of despair. To let go is foolish because that would be rejecting unconditional Love and Acceptance.
