The program, one of the longest-running debate shows on television, was the second highest-rated program in cable news behind The O’Reilly Factor.

Spencer Hughes Spencer Hughes
Spencer Hughes is the most eclectic radio talk show host in America. Politics. Pop culture. The paranormal. NOBODY in the industry offers the level of variety and spontaneity that The Spencer Hughes Show does.

He grew up in a strange land called San Francisco and was "educated" at Berkeley, which is all the more amazing since his politics clearly fall to the right of center. His conservative ideals were only strengthened by his exposure to these two bastions of wackiness and foolhardy policies. He likes to call himself a Gen-Xer with "old fashioned values".

When he was less than five years old, he began playing with his maternal grandfather's great big portable cassette recorder. He'd take the microphone and record monologues, skits, and read from his favorite comic books, complete with character voices and sound effects. Yes, he was nuts at a very young age and everyone in the family knew it. He was different. He expressed himself through the spoken work and spent hours pondering the universe while the other kids played ball in the street. A reserved young man, I guess you could call him. Except when put in front of a live microphone. Then all bets are off. You never know what he'll throw your way.

His goal is to entertain and inform at the same time. Whether the subjects at hand are hysterically funny or heart breaking, he tries to deal with them in ways no one else will. And it's always with a brutally honest voice and perspective. Not for the "reality challenged", as he likes to call those who absolutely refuse to live in the real world.
