Radio Classics

Greg Bell Greg Bell
With a theatrical background, and following a misdirected attempt to major in aerospace engineering at the University of Illinois, Greg Bell wisely returned to the media world.

While studying theater and film, Bell fell into radio. "The storytelling is what drew me to radio as a listener first and then later as a career," he says, "whether it was a lengthy monologue by a late-night talk show host or the perfect call of the fourth inning by Jack Buck."

From his native Illinois to a number of Rocky Mountain years in Colorado and Idaho, Bell has done it all in radio as a program director, news director, sports director, anchor, reporter, and short order cook.

"With Radio Classics it's important to capture the era as much as the show, the goal is to take the listener back to a time when the family gathered in the living room around the radio nightly listening to Jack Benny, Fibber McGee and Molly, Dragnet, Suspense, and much more," Bell says. "But I also believe the channel will draw a whole new set of listeners, first curious and then addicted to the way words and sounds can so completely create the scene."

RadioClassics invites you to experience the audio magic of legendary old time radio. RadioClassics features the best dramas, mysteries, comedies, and variety programs from the Golden Age of Radio.

Relive the magic with dramas like The Shadow, Dragnet, and War of the Worlds, comedy from Burns and Allen, Jack Benny, and W.C. Fields; and radio versions of classic movies like Key Largo and Casablanca featuring Bogart, Bacall, and all of the original cast members.
