Steve Langford: Here we go Lisa. What’s the square root of 5,000,000? What’s the capital of South Dakota?

Oops, wrong questions.

Seriously...Where were you born? Where’d you grow up? Where’d you go to school?

Lisa G.: Was born on Long Island, New York. I attended Hofstra University.

Steve: Why’d you get into media?
Lisa:I was the middle child. One of 3 girls. It was my way of being heard. Always loved the radio. I would make a deal with my Dad when I was a kid. He could get to listen to all-news for an hour, then I could get my favorite music radio station.

Working in Hip-Hop for 10 years made me ready for anything.
Steve: What was your favorite radio station growing up?
Lisa: WABC and WNEW-FM!

Steve: What’d you think when you heard about working at Howard 100 News?
Lisa: Didn’t think twice. Just said what time should I show up. It’s like being asked to join the Yankees.

Steve: Our news product is rather unconventional. Your thoughts about it?
Lisa: Love it!!!

Steve: Ever get nervous going into the lions’ den that is the Howard Stern show?
Lisa: Working in hip-hop the past 10 years was a great training ground. I’m ready for anything.

Steve: You play in a chamber orchestra I believe. What instrument do you play? Do you perform in public? Tell us about the music and how beautiful it is.
Lisa: I played the violin from 8 years old until I graduated college and then stopped! I missed it very much and decided to try again six years ago. It all came back. I joined an adult chamber music program here in NYC. Each semester we have to perform in a recital at the music school. That’s it. No one’s heard me play, except my cousin Steven who paid me $1. I thought it was such a funny offer, I played for him.

Steve: Anything else you think we should add?
Lisa: Hope the Howard 100 listeners are having as much fun listening, as I am working here.

Steve: Thank you Lisa.
Lisa: Anytime.

Steve: Why do you like working in the media?
Lisa: I love knowing I could make a difference. From making someone laugh to informing them on an important story.
