Elvis Country
Heard Daily On Elvis Radio
This new addition to the hourly Elvis Radio music features focuses on Elvis' lifetime catalog of country hits and country classics. As rockabilly evolved, Elvis Presley's Mississippi musical roots absorbed the sounds of both Beale Street in Memphis and the Grand Ol’ Opry into his own unique style. Others followed suit and soon there was a generation of "rockabillies" heating up the radio airwaves, with their mixture of hillbilly music and rock & roll attitude. From 1954 right through today, Elvis walks his fans through nearly every style of country music including bluegrass, western swing, rockabilly, southern gospel, rural countrified blues, countrypolitan and even the early roots of the "outlaw" movement.
