The two legends sat down with Bluesville Host Bill Wax to talk about their incredible careers, and how the world has changed since they each started singing the blues. Next up is a trip down memory lane to West Memphis where B.B. has to compete against Howlin’ Wolf in a music contest in order to secure a regular gig. To end the show, B.B. answers a listener’s question from Troy who asks: Are “the crossroads” real? And, did Robert Johnson really sell his soul there?  (2 hrs)

This week, B.B. continues with a jazz theme and highlights two of his favorite jazz guitarists: Django Reinhart and Charlie Christian. B.B. and Bill then recall memories of Sam Phillips of Sun Studios, Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis. We’ll learn about when B.B. moved to Los Angeles in the mid-1950s and his experiences with Maxwell Davis, Little Richard, Roy Milton, Percy Mayfield and Roy Hawkins. In conclusion, B.B. takes a listener question from Stan The Man who asks: does B.B. require his musicians to read music or can they rely on instinctual “feeling” to play in his band?  (2 hrs)
